1.9.9 Setup work
DANGER
The work performed may only be completed by trained and
instructed specialists.
Wear personal protection equipment (e.g. safety helmet, ear
protection, protective gloves, safety shoes) where working
conditions require. At working heights of 2.00 m or more,
SENNEBOGEN recommends the use of a safety harness to prevent
falling. At working heights above 3.00 m, using a safety harness is
required legally.
Hanging rings are marked.
The following applies for all setup work:
Only carry out the work if the work area has a firm, even subgrade
that is solid enough.
Ensure that there is no one in the danger area.
During setup and before completion of all setup work, no persons
are allowed in the hazardous area in which loads could fall or
under hanging loads.
During the setup procedure, keep a sufficient safety clearance
from areas of unavoidable cutting or pinching/crushing danger.
Observe the relevant accident prevention regulations for working
with hoisting accessories.
When dismantling components or disassembling equipment, always
use hoisting accessories with a sufficient safe working load.
Suspend components only with the designated lifting brackets.
Do not step on equipment that is not designed for it (e.g. boom
components or ballast).
Carry out all setup work in sequence. Never carry out more than one
setup task at a time.
