Original operating instructions
Work underground and
in enclosed spaces
If the machines are implemented in enclosed spaces, the spaces are to
be sufficiently ventilated and the respective regulations are to be
followed.
Stability
Position the machine on a firm, even subgrade.
If necessary, stabilize the subgrade.
Caution at excavation edge, banks, vaults, etc.
Position outriggers also on a firm, even subgrade.
with additional ballast:
Only slew upper structure when the machine is supported!
Observe wind speeds!
Stability is at a minimum when the working gear is transverse to the
direction of travel.
Stability is at a maximum when the operating equipment is
positioned diagonally (see illustration below).
DANGER
Do not carry out any form of work that will affect the stability of the
machine!
Stability is reduced when the cab is elevated and when working with
loads at great heights.
Note that stability decreases when the load is swinging outwards.
Quick motions can lead to decreased stability or uncontrolled load
motions.
