Disconnect throttle cable from throttle slide.
Untighten rubber flange clamps then remove car-
buretor from engine.
CLEANING AND INSPECTION
The entire carburetor should be cleaned with a
general solvent and dried with compressed air be-
fore disassembly.
CAUTION : Heavy duty carburetor cleaner
may be harmful to the float material and
to the rubber parts, O-rings, etc. Therefore, it is
recommended to remove those parts prior to
cleaning.
Carburetor body and jets should be cleaned in a
carburetor cleaner following manufacturer’s in-
structions.
WARNING : Solvent with a low flash point
such as gasoline, naphtha, benzol, etc.,
should not be used as they are flammable and
explosive.
Check inlet needle tip condition. If worn, the inlet
needle and seat must be replaced as a matched
set.
NOTE :
Install needle valve for snowmobile
carburetor only. It is designed to operate
with a fuel pump system.
Check throttle slide for wear. Replace as neces-
sary.
Check idle speed screw straightness. Replace as
necessary.
IDENTIFICATION

DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
NOTE :
To ease the carburetor disassembly
and assembly procedures it is recommend-
