Sub-Section 08 (GEARBOX)

Install shim and bearing on LH side.
Install driven pulley shaft, sliding sleeve then gear.
Turn brake shaft during installation and check that
gears mesh.

Install shim, bearing and circlip.
5,6, Fork and Fork Axle
Mount forks and fork axles using a screwdriver to
hold index ball. See illustration for fork axle posi-
tions.
INSTALLATION
Reverse removal procedure. Check pulley align-
ment.
OIL LEVEL
To check, pull dipstick. Oil should reach level
mark.
TYPICAL
1. Level mark
2. Filler plug
To fill, remove filler plug from top of transmission.
Refill as required using Bombardier synthetic
chaincase oil (P/N 413 8028 00).
