12.3 Resection Calculation Process
The N, E coordinates are found by angle and distance measurement equations, and the
instrument occupied coordinates are found using the least squares method. The Z coordinate is
found by treating the average value as the instrument occupied coordinate.
Calculation begins
The normal equation is prepared
Hypothetical coordinates are found
Instrument occupied coordinates are calculated
The measured equation for the angle is prepared
Calculation of the Z coordinate
The measured equation for the distance is prepared
