9.1 Incoming goods inspection
The delivery must be checked immediately upon receipt in order to check for comple-
teness and transport damage. A claim for any damage must be submitted as soon as
it has been discovered.
Compensation claims can only be lodged within the valid claim periods!
In the event of externally visible transport damage, the procedure is as follows:
Refuse delivery or only accept with reservation.
Make a note of the extent of the damage on the transport papers or on the certificate of
receipt from the transport company and register a complaint.
9.2 Transport safety
DANGER
Unsuitable means of transport and lifting gear can result in machines
toppling or falling.
Improper handling of machines and devices can lead to considerable
injury or death.
Work may only be carried out by instructed persons.
The installation and initial commissioning of the machine may only be
performed by employees of the manufacturer or specialist staff who
have been authorized and trained by the manufacturer. However, ope-
rators or service staff working for the manufacturer may also be entrus-
ted with the handling of packaging units during the transport and
installation.
Work in a careful manner and observe the symbols on the packaging
when unloading packing units on delivery as well as during in-house
transport.
Only use recommended lifting gear.
Do not remove the packaging until shortly before assembly.
Look out for separate packages included in larger packages.
Lifting vehicle
The lifting vehicle used must be suitable for the weight and dimensions
of the machine.
The load-bearing capacity of the lifting vehicle may not be exceeded
and the lifting forks must be of sufficient length.
Suitable, anti-slip underlays must be placed on the lifting forks in order
to protect the machine.
Suspended loads
Ensure that slow and cautious movements are made during transport,
especially when lifting and lowering the machine.
Do not step or reach beneath the machine during lifting, transport or
lowering.
