Align Lamp
The design of the VL3500 Wash luminaire optical system allows for a flat or peaked field. A flat field
has no detectable hot spot. A peaked field has more intensity at the center of the beam than at the
perimeter.
After you install a new lamp, align the lamp to optimize the beam. Use the knobs on the luminaire
backcap to make the adjustments.
WARNING: Backcap and adjustment knobs are HOT during lamp operation. Wear gloves to prevent
burns.
To align lamp:
Step 1. Strike lamp.
Step 2. At Menu Display, select Test and then select Lamp. This setting facilitates lamp
alignment by disabling the pan and tilt motors, opening the dimmer, and opening the internal
lenses.
Step 3. Position beam on a white wall at a distance of 12 to 20 feet.
Step 4. At backcap, using X, Y and Z adjustment screws, adjust beam as required.

AFTER SWITCHING OFF.
