Attachments

Using attachments for lifting or transporting persons
may lead to fatal accidents with serious crushing
injury or death.
Never use attachments for lifting or transporting
persons.
Using the correct attachment for a particular job is
a deciding factor when it comes to the capacity of
the machine.
The machine has either direct-mounted
attachments or attachments mounted with a
hydraulically controlled quick coupler which allows
rapid changes of attachments.
Always follow Volvo recommendations when
choosing attachments.

If other attachments are
used, follow the Operator’s manuals from the
respective suppliers.
It is the responsibility of the machine owner to make
sure that these attachments are approved for
mounting on the machine. The machine owner is
responsible for the safety of the combination
machine – attachment.

The machine is prepared for several types of
attachments, e.g. hammer, tiltrotator, grading
bucket. In order to be able to connect these
hydraulically to the machine, the pressure in the
hydraulics must be released, see page
345
.
