Imaging Unit Charge
Key Name Function/System
[1] Charge
■ Deposits a charge to the surface of the Photo Conductor.
■ Imaging Unit comb electrode Scorotron system
[2] Electrode
■ Imaging Unit comb electrode Scorotron system
■ Using the comb electrode ensures that the charge is concentrated on the
grid mesh, thus reducing the amount of ozone produced.
[3] Grid Mesh ■ Evens out the charge deposited from the Electrode to make the surface
potential uniform throughout the surface of the Photo Conductor.
■ The grid voltage is applied to the Grid Mesh.
