Image Transfer
1st Transfer
Key Name Function/System
[1] Driven Roller Rotated as driven by the Transfer Belt.
[2] Transfer Belt The image of each color of toner is transferred from the 1st Transfer
Roller to this Transfer Belt in the order of Y, M, C, and K, thereby forming
a full color toner image.
[3] 1st Transfer Roller Transfers the toner image from the Photo Conductor to the Transfer Belt
(1st transfer).
The 1st transfer voltage (T1) is applied.
No mechanism is provided for retracting and pressing the 1st Transfer
Roller.
[4] Transfer Belt Drive
Roller
Drives the Transfer Belt.
Driven by the Main Motor (M1).
[5] Belt Positioning
Sensor (PC4)
Detects the position of the Transfer Belt as the sensor is blocked/
unblocked by a hole for detecting the Transfer Belt position provided in the
Transfer Belt.
[6] Photo Conductor The drum surface on which an image of each color of toner is formed for
subsequent transfer of the image to the Transfer Belt.
[7] Toner Collecting
Screw (auger)
Conveys toner scraped off by the Cleaning Blade onto the Imaging Unit.
[8] Cleaning Blade Scrapes residual toner off the surface of the Transfer Belt.
[9] Density Sensor (AIDC) Detects the toner density on the Image Transfer Belt.
