6. Type “copy_/b_XXXXXX.sys_lpt1:” and then press the Enter button (XXXXXX is the
firmware data file name).
Caution: Do not attempt to cancel the firmware update process or turn off the printer
power during the update. The printer automatically restarts after the firmware update
process is complete.
7. Check the message on the Control Panel and make sure that “Ready” is displayed.
8. Print a Configuration Page (Printable Pages Menu > Configuration) and check the
firmware version to verify the upgrade.
