Standing Conditions
LTC-TCMC (TCM_C-Connection Loss)
The corresponding SNMP name for this condition is
“lossofTandemConnectionOduTcmC”.
AIDTYPE Default
Severity
Probable Cause Suggested Corrective Action
CH MN The facility has
received a signal in
which the tandem
connection
monitoring overhead
for the TCMi layer
assigned as instance
“C” contains the “No
source TC” code
(“000” in the STAT
field, bits 6 through 8
of byte 3 in the TCM
overhead) indicating
that the far-end
tandem connection
termination point has
not been provisioned.
This is caused by
assigning an unused
TCMi to this
instance.
1 Verify that the correct TCMi has
been assigned to this instance
(i.e. verify the TCMC attribute
value).
2 Verify that the intended upstream
facility has the same TCMi
assigned to one of its TCMA,
TCMB or TCMC attributes, and
that the facility is correctly
provisioned in all other respects
and is in-service normal (“In
Service”).
3 Verify that there are no errors in
cabling or cross-connection at
each successive upstream point
along the trail back to the far-end
tandem connection termination
point.
