The backup
(standby) controller
in a duplex
protected pair is
not responding to
inter-module
communications.
1 Verify that the provisioning and
equipping of both members of the
duplex protection group is correct,
and that the backup module is not
reporting a failure. Correct any
provisioning or equipping errors, and
resolve any failure conditions
reported with respect to the backup
module.
2 Remove the inactive, standby
module. If this condition clears, and
is replaced by an indication that the
standby unit was removed, reseat
the standby module. If the original
condition recurs, replace the
standby module.
3 If the condition does not clear,
replace the shelf containing the
network controller modules.
