Clipping the Waveform
1. Press
Mode Setup > More (1 of 2) > ARB Setup > Waveform Utilities > Clipping.
2. Press
Clip |I+jQ| To > 80 > %.
The waveform is now set to be clipped at 80 percent of its peak value.
NOTE If the waveform is active (W-CDMA Off On set to On), clipping settings are not applied until
you press the Apply To Waveform softkey.
Generating the Waveform
Press
Mode Setup > W-CDMA Off On until On is highlighted.
This generates a waveform with the custom W-CDMA uplink state created in the previous sections. The
display changes to UL WCDMA Setup: DPCCH (Modified). During waveform generation, the WCDMA
and I/Q annunciators appear and the waveform is stored in volatile ARB memory. The waveform is now
modulating the RF carrier.
For instructions on storing this custom CDMA state to the signal generator’s non-volatile memory, see
“Storing a W-CDMA Downlink/Uplink State” on page 417.
