Once you have inserted or removed the battery, replace
the cap
CAUTION Do not insert the battery while operating the instrument.
Charging the Batteries
The Mini-OTDR has a built-in charger. It is able to charge
the battery operating or non-operating. Fast-charge is
typically performed non-operating in 2 hours.
Charging for the first time When you charge the battery for the first time, insert
the battery and connect the AC-Adapter (see
“Connecting an AC/DC Adapter” on page 78).
Old batteries If your battery is new or has been in storage for a long
time, you may need to charge it two or three times to
achieve optimum performance levels.
