Measurement Settings 2 Select [SETTINGS] from the popup panel. You see a menu
headed Measurement Settings.
3 If you are not already viewing the Meas. Parameter
page, cursor to either of the arrows at the bottom left of
the screen. Press S
ELECT to bring up the next page.
Select Refractive Index 4 Use the Cursor keys to move to the <R
EFR. IND.> box,
and press S
ELECT.
You should now see a dialog containing the
recommended Refractive Indexes for selected cable
vendors.

NOTE If you don’t see this dialog, this means that you do not
have a vendor file (
VENDOR.INI
) in your Mini-OTDR
internal memory. Please contact your Agilent
representative for assistance, or see “Appendix:
VENDOR.INI” on page 311.
If you do not have a vendor file, you can use the Cursor
keys to manually input a Refractive Index.
Select vendor 5 Cursor to an appropriate vendor name, and press
S
ELECT.
