Display the Winds Aloft Legend
• With the Winds Aloft weather product screen displayed, press the LGND Hot
Key. The Winds Aloft legend displays on the right of the screen.
Hide the Winds Aloft Legend
• Press the LGND Hot Key to hide the Winds Aloft legend.
Winds are displayed using the selected altitude lter. The pilot adjusts the altitude lter
value by pressing either the FL+ or the FL- Hot Key. The default Winds Aloft altitude
lter is surface (SFC) if not previously set. Once the altitude lter has been changed, the
selected setting becomes the default setting. The Winds Aloft lter level is displayed in
the lower right corner of the display.
The Winds Aloft altitude lter increments in 3,000 foot increments ranging from the
surface winds (displayed as SFC WINDS) to 42,000 feet (displayed as WINDS FL420).
When the FL+ Hot Key is pressed, the altitude lter advances to the next lter
increment. When the FL- Hot Key is pressed, the altitude lter decreases to the next lter
increment.
Increase or Decrease Winds Aloft Altitude Filter
• Press the FL+ Hot Key to increase the altitude lter to the next altitude
increment.
• Press the FL- Hot Key to decrease the altitude lter to the previous altitude
increment.
