Input the Injection Time in 24 hour format (example 1:00 PM as 1300) and press ENTER.
Input the Counting Period, in seconds, for measurements. Press the F4 [OK] key. You will be
prompted to count the following samples in the Well.
• Reference Standard Standard supplied with the kit.
• Room Background Remove all samples and sources from the Well.
• Whole Blood Sample 4 ml of whole blood withdrawn from the patient five to ten
minutes post injection.
• Plasma Sample 4 ml of plasma from the whole blood withdrawn from the
patient five to ten minutes post injection.
Perform each measurement according to the instructions in CHAPTER 14: LAB TESTS:
SETUP.
After the plasma sample counts have been accepted the RBC Volume (I125) Results Screen
(
Figure 16-8) will appear.
