To make a measurement from the RBC Survival Patient Selection Screen, move the cursor
to the desired patient and press the F4 [MEAS] key.
Figure 16-11 will appear.

Input the Hematocrit determined from the sample to be counted and the Counting Period in
seconds. When the entered data is correct, press the F4 [OK] key.
You will be prompted to measure the Sample and then Room Background. Perform the
measurements according to the directions in CHAPTER 14: LAB TESTS: SETUP.
After the room background measurement is accepted,
Figure 16-12 will appear if this is the
first measurement.

Save this measurement by pressing the F4 [SAVE] key. This first measurement is used as
the 100% remaining measurement. All future measurements will be compared to this data
point.
To print the data, press the PRINT [P] key.
To exit the program at this point and return to the Main RBC Survival Screen, press the F1
[EXIT] key. If you try to exit without saving the data the system will confirm the choice by
