600 will repeatedly adjust the High Voltage to the detector until the Cs137
peak is adjusted to 662 ±8 keV. The counting period may repeat several times until the
system is calibrated.

When the AutoCal procedure is completed,
Figure 6-12 will appear and the system
automatically prints a calibration report.

The screen then returns to the Setup menu.
Note: If the printer is off-line or if no printer is attached to the CAPTUS
®
600, a check printer
message will appear on the screen at this point and prompt you to press any key to
continue. If a printer is attached to the unit check to be sure it is powered up, that it is
not out of paper, that the cable is connected, etc. When any key is pressed to
continue, if the printer is still off-line or if there is still no printer attached, the
calibration data will be displayed on the screen.
