AMT Re-Calibration and Self-Learning Procedure
The AMT re-calibration and self-learning procedure is carried out in three separate steps. The three steps are as
follows:
1. Stability Test
2. Self-Learning Test
3. Road Test
Step 1: Stability Test
1. Press the accelerator pedal fully.
2. Press the brake pedal.
3. Open the driver door.
4. Push the shift lever forward (+).
5. Pull the shift lever backward (-).
6. Move the shift lever to the A/M position.
7. Pull the shift lever in the R position.
8. Push the shift lever to the N position.
Step 2: Self-Learning Test
The Self-Learning test is made up of two separate functions:
− Engine Flywheel Self-Learning Procedure
− AMT Electronic Control System Self-Learning Procedure
Engine Flywheel Self-Learning Procedure
1. With the vehicle stopped, turn the ignition switch on for 20 seconds.
2. Press the brake pedal, start the engine and warm it to more than 80°C.
3. With the transaxle in the Neutral position, quickly press the accelerator and raise the engine speed over
5500 RPM.
4. Release the accelerator and allow the engine to idle.
5. Repeat the procedure at least 3 times until the MIL lamp (engine fault lamp in instrument cluster) stops
flashing and is turned off.
6. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 1 minute to store the self-learned value.
AMT Electronic Control System Self-Learning Procedure
1. Connect the X-431 scan tool to the Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Select 9Gear self-learning9 and wait for approximately 3 minutes until the self-learning procedure is suc-
cessfully.
4. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 15 seconds to store the self-learned value.
5. Turn the ignition switch ON and put the AMT to the Neutral position.
6. Select 9Clutch point of initial slippery self-learning9.
7. Start engine and wait for 15 seconds.
8. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 15 seconds to store the self-learned value.
Step 3: Road Test
1. Start the engine.
2. Run the engine and warm it to more than 80°C.
3. Drive the vehicle.
4. Accelerate the vehicle, allow the clutch to reach 130°C.
5. Stop the vehicle.
6. Press the accelerator pedal 30%, and increase the engine speed to more than 2500 RPM, and allow the vehi-
cle to self-learn.
7. Turn the ignition switch off.
8. After several seconds, the system will be shut off automatically.
