vtp (interface configuration)
vtp (interface configuration)
Use the vtp interface configuration command to enable the VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) on a
per-port basis. Use the no form of this command to disable VTP on the interface.
vtp
no vtp
Note This command is supported only when the switch is running VTP version 3.
Syntax Description This command has no keywords or arguments.
Command Default This command has no default settings.
Command Modes Interface configuration.
Command History
Usage Guidelines Enter this command only interfaces that are switchport in trunk mode.
This command is supported only on switches configured for VTP version 3.
Examples This example shows how to enable VTP on an interface:
Switch(config-if)# vtp
This example shows how to disable VTP on an interface:
Switch(config-if)# no vtp
