AS-410M Auto Slide Preparation System
Application medium is dripped from the application medium nozzle onto slides that are pushed
out from the slide cassette after sample sectioning and section attachment to the carrier tape.
Check and ensure that application medium is dripped accurately onto slides.
If application medium fails to be properly dripped, application medium may be running short or
the System tube joint may not be properly connected. Refer to 3-7 “Setting the application medium
bottle in place” to refill medium or to check the System tube joint for proper connection.
④ Slicing and section attachment to the carrier tape
Check the shape and other aspects of the sliced sections attached to the carrier tape.
a. Thin sliced sections are attached properly to the tape.
b. The sections attached to the tape are in the same shape as the sample block and are free
from jagged edges or partial losses.
c. The sections are free from wrinkles or flaws.
