Troubleshooting
When it is necessary to change the number of section slides to be prepared or when it is necessary to
load a new roll of carrier tape, touch NO (BACK) below the caution message to return to the “Parameter
setting” screen.
When it is necessary to change the number of section slides to be prepared, open the “Operating
condition settings” screen and reduce the number of sections to be prepared by changing the number of
samples or the number of slices. (Check the “Tape remaining” indicator in the above screenshot to make
sure how many sections can be prepared using the remaining length of carrier tape).
To replace the carrier tape roll with a new roll, touch MAIN to open the “MAIN” screen and select SLIDE
PREPARATION. Then, select CHANGE at Tape frame on the “Preoperational setup” screen. For more
information, refer to 3-12 “Setting the carrier tape roll replacement in place.”
To resume operation without changing the carrier tape, touch YES below the caution message.
5-1-3-6 Slide remaining caution
This caution message appears on the screen when there is any slide left in the slide transfer area
(Slide feeding unit, Mounting unit, and Extension device) at the start of operation.
Troubleshooting
Touch
MAIN
indicated below the caution message to return to the “MAIN” screen. Then, touch SLIDE
PREPARATION to open the “Preoperational setup” screen. Touch UNLOCK DOOR to open the door of
the mounting unit and collect slides from the slide transfer unit.
MAIN
Touch to return to the
Menu screen.
Touch to turn OFF the
error alarm.
Slide remaining error message
Select YES to resume operation with the current settings. In this case, the
System will stop running when the carrier tape is used up.
