SLICING
UPPER INFEED PRESSURE: The Upper Infeed
Pressure parameter controls the amount of air
pressure that pushes down on the front of the
upper Infeed Conveyors to hold the product while
it is sliced. (Illustration 48) This parameter allows
you to increase or decrease this clearance.
BOTTOM SLICE OFFSET: The “Bottom Slice
Offset” parameter allows you to adjust the
position for a selected number of slices at the
start of a stack or draft. (Illustration 49) The
number of slices is selected in the “Bottom Slice
Offset Count” parameter. This parameter is set in
millimeters or inches and can be set from +152
mm (+6 inches) to 152 mm (6 inches).
To correct an offset “bottom slice” problem, set
this parameter to the direction and distance of the
“offset,” and set the “Bottom Slice Offset Count”
parameter to “1.”
To change the position of the first slice or slices in
a draft, set this parameter to the direction and
distance of the “offset.” Set the “Bottom Slice
Offset Count” parameter to the number of slices
you would like to re-position.
BOTTOM SLICE COUNT: The “Bottom Slice
Count” parameter sets how many slices will be
affected by the “Bottom Slice Offset” parameter.
(Illustration 50) Setting this parameter to “0”
disables the “Bottom Slice Offset” parameter.
