MOTORS: ELECTRICAL OVERVIEW
High Voltage Cabinet:
1. The QF1 Circuit Breaker sends the 3-phase
AC supply voltage to the QM3 Circuit
Controller. (Illustration 20) The QM3 Circuit
Controller is a hand operated, thermally
protected Circuit Breaker that sends the
3-phase AC supply voltage to the KM3
Contactor.
2. The coil of the KM3 Contactor is energized by
a 24 VDC and common signals sent from
terminals 5 and 6 on the AR8 Safety Module.
(Illustration 21) The AR1 Safety Computer
controls the AR8 Safety Module.
3. The KM3 Contactor sends the 3-phase AC
supply voltage to the GS3 Power Supply. The
GS3 Power Supply uses this voltage to create
48 VDC and common. This voltage is sent to
the Linear and Rotary Actuators as a Motor
Power Supply Voltage.
