X21 and X22 “Safe Off” Terminal
Connectors: The X21 and X22 Terminal
Connectors are used on all of the Servo Drives
except the U4 Knife Servo Drive. Each Servo
Drive, except the Knife Servo Drive, controls 2
Servo Motors. The X21 and X22 Terminal
Connectors are connected to “Safe Off” Relays
that turn “On” the Output Resistors that control
the Power Voltage going to each of the Servo
Motors. The U4 Knife Servo Drive has 1 axis
and only controls the Knife Servo Motor. The
U4 Servo Drive only has the X21 Terminal
Connector. (Illustration 54)
U1 Knife Servo Drive:
X21 “Safe Off” Terminal Connector:
The X21 Terminal Connector is
connected to a “Safe Off” Relay
controlling the Power Voltage going to
the M1 Servo Motor. 24 VDC is sent
from the KA1/KA2 Safety Contactor by
wires 104 (white) and 2 to terminals 3
and 4 on the X1 Terminal Connector.
This voltage energizes the “Safe Off”
Relay when all guards are closed and
all “Master Off” buttons are pulled out.
This relay must be energized in order
to turn “On” the Output Resistors that
control the Power Voltage going to the
Servo Motors. When the “Safe Off”
Relay de-energizes, the Power Voltage
used to run the Servo Motors will not
operate.
X22 “Safe Off” Terminal Connector:
Not Used on the U1 Servo Drive.
