COMPUTER BOOT-UP
The Computer System takes approximately 1 minute to “Boot-up” when
the power is turned "on." The software compilation and data transfer
period during “Boot-up” is very critical and any interruption of the power
can cause data to become corrupted. To avoid data corruption, always
wait for the system to completely “Boot-Up” before turning the power off.
The Computer boots-up to the Touchscreen Calibration screen.
IMPORTANT!
It is necessary to calibrate the Touchscreen each time you turn the
power “On.” (Illustration 4) If you do not calibrate the Touchscreen,
the Computer will not finish booting up! Refer to the “Touchscreen
Calibration” procedure later in this section for more information on
calibrating the Touchscreen.
BACKUP THE MACHINE RECORDS
Maintain up to date backup records so that you can reprogram the
Product Code Parameters if they become corrupted. Depending on the
extent of the corruption, reprogramming your Product Codes can be very
time consuming. Anytime you create or update a Product Code, record
the parameter settings to maintain current records. The backup copy will
allow you to reprogram a Product Code if it becomes necessary.
KEEP ALL CABINETS CLOSED
The Electrical Cabinet Doors have gaskets to seal out moisture. Keep
the gaskets in good shape. Tighten each door retaining bolt securely to
maintain a complete seal. After performing service in any of the electrical
cabinets, close and tighten all door bolts before returning the machine to
production.
SERVO MOTORS
There are mechanical drives on the Powermax3000 that are driven by
Servo Motors. Although these are sealed motors, it is important to keep
these motors dry. Make sure the cabinet covers and doors are securely
installed prior to spraying the machine with high pressure water.
CLEANING THE INSIDE OF A MACHINE CABINET
NEVER spray the inside of a machine cabinet with a high pressure hose!
To clean a machine cabinet, wipe out any residue with paper towels.
Avoid getting any water on the electrical components, cables and
motors.
