4. QM2 Circuit Controller/KM2 Contactor:
QM2 Circuit Controller: The QM2 Circuit
Controller provides the thermal overload
protection for the AC supply voltage going to
the M21 Debris Conveyor Motor. (Illustration
35) When switched to the “Off” position, the
M21 Motor Power circuit is disabled. When in
the “On” position, it supplies 3-phase AC
power voltage to the KM2 Contactor. When
QM2 is turned “on,” wires 58 and 59 transfer a
24 VDC signal from the AR10 Input Module,
through the N.O. contacts on QM2 Circuit
Controller and back to the AR10 Input Module
to tell the Computer that the QM2 Circuit
Controller is “on.” (Illustration 35)
KM2 Contactor: When energized, the KM2
Contactor supplies 3-phase AC power voltage
to the M21 Debris Conveyor Motor. The
Computer sends the signal to energize the
KM2 Contactor to the AR7 Safety Output
Module. (Illustration 36) The AR7 Safety
Output Module then sends 24 VDC and
common on wires 28 and 29 to energize the
coil of the KM2 Contactor and run the M21
Debris Conveyor Motor. When the KM2
energizes, wires 44 and 45 transfer a 24 VDC
signal from the AR9 Input Module, through the
N.O. contacts on KM2 Contactor and back to
the AR9 Input Module to tell the Computer that
the KM2 Contactor is energized.
