T
urn the top system board back to the top and remove the seven screws
and the green knob (1) from the top system board.
▶
Use both hands to lift the top system board carefully out of the holder (2).
▶
Place the removed and the new top system board on an antistatic surface.
Installing the new top system board
▶
Install the top system board and align the screw holes with the holes on the
holder (see Figure 199).
▶
Fasten the top system board with the seven screws and the green knob (see
Figure 199).
▶
Remove the protective plastic cover from the CPU socket of the new top
system board and fit the protective plastic cover onto the socket of the
defective top system board which will be sent back to spares.
Returned top system boards without this cover probably have to be
scrapped.
