1、CHECK
1). Checking the middle drive
• O-ring
Damage
Replace.
• bearings
Clean and lubricate, then rotate the inner race
with a finger.
Pitting/damage
Replace.
• universal joint movement
Roughness
Replace universal joint.
2). Checking the crankcase
(1) Thoroughly wash the case halves in a mild
solvent.
(2) Clean all the gasket mating surfaces and
crankcase mating surfaces thoroughly
(3) heck:
• crankcase
Cracks/damage
Replace.
• oil delivery passages
Clogged
Blow out with compressed air.
2、MEASURE
1). Measure the crankshaft
• crank width (A)
Out of specification
Replace the crankshaft.
Crank width
74.95 ~ 75.00 mm
• side clearance (D)
Out of
specification
Replace the crankshaft
Big end side clearance
Limit: 1.0 mm (0.0394 in)
• runout (b)(C)
Out of
specification
Replace the crankshaft.
Runout limit
(b): 0.03 mm (C): 0.03 mm
The crankshaft ① and the crank pin ② oil
passages must be properly interconnected with
a tolerance of less than 1 mm (0.04 in).
