VMU Setup
The G1E MBU contains an on board 4 Channel Auto Attendant with voice messaging. Also included is a
2 minute MOH section. In Default the MOH is pre-recorded with Auto Telecom’s copyright free music.
The optional VMU card contains a 4 channel Voice Mail / Auto Attendant which when installed on the
G1E-MBU will remove the Auto Attendant feature from the MBU and assign it to the VMU.
Messages recorded on the MBU AA will be replaced by messages recorded on the VMU card.
Messages are recorded in Flash Ram and do not require any battery backup to maintain.
Program Mode 25 provides a copy function that allows the G1E to automatically copy messages from
the MBU flash to the VMU Flash or from the VMU Flash to the MBU Flash.
For a description of this procedure see mode 25 in the Programming manual

External Music on Hold Source – G1E
The G1E system does not have an external Music port but relies on using the 2 Minute MOH message
recorded on the MBU Flash ram. This message can be recorded by the customer to allow them to use
their own message or an SLT port can be used to connect an external Music source if required.
