Item Explanation
Board type
Set the main board type (Do not change!)
Security
Authentication function is applied for security in SMART printer. (See 4.1.3.7)
- PC Auth. : Matching SMART printer and PC ( To use this function, press Set PC Serial” and save the
PC authentication information to SMART Printer)
- Physical key : Set the use of Physical Key in case the printer have customized physical key
- User Auth. : Set password for specified user.
- Root Auth. : Set password for administrator.
Use USB Serial
When SMART is connected to USB, it transmits the USB serial number to PC. Default is the
same number used by all SMART. Please set this option when you want to use multiple
SMART printers connected to 1 PC via USB. It enables unique serial numbers for each USB.

When you want to use multiple SMART printers connected to 1 PC via USB, you have to set
this option of SMART one at a time and connect all SMARTs to PC via USB.
Ribbon Position Option for ribbon printing reposition. It can be adjusted between +5 ~ -5 (mm).
Card Out Delay Set the time to operate Hopper Motor. Do not change.
Card Out
Set printed or encoded card out direction (The back out can be done only in dual side
printer)
Error Card Out Set error card out direction (The back out can be done only in dual side printer)
DCL Mode
Use DCL mode. If set DCL mode, the driver installation will not be required when connect the
printer. Even if the driver is installed, it does not use the driver. Please note it is developed
for the user who want to operate the printer with their specific program because do not need
to use the driver. (Note: When use this function, it is not printing in normal program.)

Dump Mode Set to record the log data in printer.
Cleaning Warning Set to activate cleaning warning window. (See 4.1.3.8)
