Standard Event Register
The Standard Event Register records eight types of events that could occur in the instrument. See the
following figure and table below it for details.

completed and the Series 2280 is ready to accept
new commands.

An attempt was made to read data from an empty
output queue.

Device error (DDE)
A device error has been detected.

Execution error (EXE)
An error was detected while the instrument was
trying to execute a command.

Command error (CME)
A command error has occurred. See information
following this table for descriptions of command
errors.

User request (URQ)
An enabled summary bit of the Status Byte
Register is set; depending on how it is used, this
is either the request for service (RQS) bit or the
master summary status (MSS) bit.

Power on (PON)
The instrument has been turned off and turned
back on since the last time this register was read.
