4.16 DISPLAYING AND SETTING SUPPLEMENTARY FUNCTIONS
4.16.1 GENERAL
In addition to the standard groups and functions listed in Table 2-16, the CM4 Common Modules
contain supplementary groups for controlling functions that rarely need adjustment in most systems.
These supplementary groups and functions are listed in Table 2-17, Table 4-11, and Figure 4-7.
This section describes the functions found in the supplementary configuration group, and explains how
to make changes to them. It assumes a basic familiarity with the operation of the CM4, particularly the
use of the GROUP and SET/NEXT switches, the four-character alphanumeric display, and the bi-level
ON/OFF LED. Users not familiar with changing the CM4 configuration should first read paragraphs
4.4, 4.4.1, and 4.4.2.
4.16.2 ENTERING THE SUPPLEMENTARY CONFIGURATION GROUP
Press down repeatedly on the GROUP switch until RVU1 is displayed, and then release the switch.
Press down on the group switch one more time and hold the switch down - do not release it.
While holding the GROUP switch down (the display will now read DIAG), press up once on the
SET/NEXT switch. The display will change to read FTIM. You are now in the supplementary group.
Release both switches.
NOTE
Although you can cycle through the CM4 groups by pressing repeatedly either up or down on
the GROUP switch, you can only enter the supplementary group by pressing down on the
switch to reach DIAG; that is, as the display cycles from RVU1 to DIAG.
4.16.3 INSPECTING AND MAKING CHANGES IN THE SUPPLEMENTARY
GROUP
To cycle the subgroups of the supplementary configuration group, press down repeatedly on the
SET/NEXT switch. Table 4-11 lists the subgroups and their contents. As Table 4-11 shows, most
members of the supplementary group are actually subgroups containing several functions.
Three members of the supplementary configuration group (Rfrm, Rcht, and Rcpu) are functions
themselves.
