SPECIFICATIONS
As of the date this Instruction Data Sheet was published, the following specifications apply to the RFL
DA-91I Asynchronous Data Polling Channel Module. Because all of RFL products undergo constant
improvement and refinement, these specifications are subject to change without notice.
Live Insertion/Extraction: The DA-91I is capable of live insertion and extraction into the IMUX
2000 shelf without interruption to the DS1 or any other DS0.
Asynchronous Data Interface:
Full duplex, one or two channel operation, two independent RS-232 data ports.
Data Rates:
One Channel operation: 0 bps to 19.2 kbps
Two Channel operation: 0 bps to 4.8 kbps
Time Slots: Both channels occupy one selectable DS0 time slot.
Jitter: Jitter rates shown below are proportionally lower for lower input rates:
At 4.8 kbps output data jitter is 20%.
At 9.6 kbps output data jitter is 20%.
At 19.2 kbps output data jitter is 35%.
RS-232 Interface:
Supports: Tx Data, Rx Data, Receive Line Signal Detect, Request to Send, Clear to Send,
Data Set Ready, Signal Ground.
Connector:
The DA-91I module requires the use of the MA-402I Module Adapter, which provides two
DB-9 connectors for the RS-232 interface.
