ADR EN: Lights when the transmit address is enabled (not set to 0). Used in 56K mode only.
2 LED indicator (green)
ADR VLD: Lights when the receive address is enabled (not set to 0) and matches the address
embedded in the T1/E1 signal. Used in 56K mode only.
3 LED indicator (red) EQ LB: Lights when the equipment loopback is enabled.
4 LED indicator (red) PL LB: Lights when the payload loopback is enabled.
5 LED indicator (green) RX: Lights when the DS-562NC is receiving data from the remote equipment
6 LED indicator (green) TX: Lights when the DS-562NC is transmitting data to the remote equipment
7 LED indicator (green) SVC: Lights when the DS-562NC’s service is enabled.
8 Switch SW12
This is a three position toggle switch:
UP: Sets the board to equipment loopback.
CENTER: Normal operation (no loopback, but can be overridden remotely
).
DOWN: Sets the board to payload loopback.
NOTE: If this unit is used for protective relay

SW3-1 to SW3-5 Selects the number of Timeslots used (N-Baud),
SW3-6
Selects either 56 or 64Kbps mode.
ON (Down) – 56Kbps mode (support of N=1 only)
OFF (Up) – 64Kbps mode (support of N=1 to 24/31)
SW3-7
Sets the DS-562NC for local or remote mode:
ON (Down) – Remote (settings obtained from SCB).
OFF (Up) – Local.

ON (Down) – Service OFF (board disabled).
OFF (Up) – Service ON (board enabled).
Note that any DS-562NC module intended to be used as a spare
