Note 4. Rx Time Slot
The value entered for P13 shall be 32 - the desired Rx time slot, + 0
( if path select is D&IB ) or +32 ( if path select is Terminal or D&IA ),
and +0 ( if normal mode is selected ) or +64 ( if DCB mode is selected ).
This comes about from the way P13 is configured. Bits 1 thru 5 define the Rx time
slot, bit 6 defines Path Select ( either D&IB ) or ( Terminal or D&IA ), and bit 7
Defines either normal mode or DCB mode.
Example 1: If the user wants the Rx time slot to be = 24, the path select to
be D&IB, and DCB mode, then P13 shall be set = 32 - 24 + 0 + 64 = 72.
This can be entered in either decimal or binary format as shown in the
following SCL command:
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P13=72;
or
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P13=B01001000;
Example 2: If the user wants the Rx time slot to be = 24, the path select to
be Terminal or D&IA, and normal mode, then P13 shall be set
= 32 - 24 + 32 + 0 = 40. This can be entered in either decimal or binary
format as shown in the following SCL command:
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P13=40;
or
<address>:<subaddress>:SET:P13=B00101000;
See paragraph 7.7 of the IMUX 2000 instruction manual for a complete discussion of
the SCL commands.
Note 5. Tx & Rx Address
The use of identical Tx and Rx addresses on the same module is not recommended
since it can prevent detection of loopback conditions. This can result in unwanted local
end trip outputs. See Figure 8.
