TESTING
After the RFL TMX and TMR modules have been configured, they should be tested for proper
operation before they are put into service. Since the TMX transmits only and the TMR receives only
the verification test must be performed with both modules installed in their respective IMUX 2000
equipment shelves.
EQUIPMENT SETUP
1. Install the TMX and TMR modules into their respective RFL IMUX 2000 shelves.
2. Activate both IMUX 2000 chassis and verify that the Common Modules are communicating
with each other.
3. Program all required TMX and TMR operating parameters.
VERIFICATION TEST
1. Place both modules in service and confirm that the modules communicate with each other by
verifying that all status LEDs on both modules are green.
2. Interrupt communications by either setting the TMX service to OFF or by disconnecting the
communication link between the IMUX 2000 shelves.
3. Verify on the TMR that the “Address” and “Lock” LEDs turn off and the Frame Alert Relay
picks up when the communication link is broken.
4. Verify that the opposite happens when the link is re-established.
5. Verify individually each analog channel in use by doing the following:
a. At the TMX, apply at least two different values of input signal within the operating range,
preferably at both extremes of the input range.
b. Calculate the expected output values at the TMR corresponding to these input signals.
c. Compare the calculated output value with the measured output value at the TMR. They
should be the same.
6. The TMX and TMR modules may now be placed in service.
