‰ If you want the GPI input to trigger a console function, then press on the #?CBB97>54 box and another pop-up
w
ill appear with a full list of available functions:
‰ Choose one of the functions from the scrollable list, which will give a brief description of what it is in the white box
just below.
Most functions also require a D>3C9?>>45G number, which is used to identify the channel or ASG or PGM on which
you want this GPI to trigger (or to follow if you are programming a GPI output). Some functions in the list, such as
"?>9C?ADC, do not have a D>3C9?>>45G as there is only one of those buttons on the console.
‰ The and boxes next to the D>3C9?>>45G number allow you to change the value shown there. The (5<53C
D>3C9?> box must be used to confirm the choice, or the 1>35< box may be used to clear the pop-up without making
any change.
Once you have chosen the function, you have the option of altering the way in which the GPI input or output responds
to the trigger. The >@DC'5B@?>B5 options are !1C389>7, where a pulse on the input latches a function until another
pulse cancels the function, or it can be "?=5>C1AH, where the function is only active for as long as the input is active.
There is also an option to invert the logic of the function, so it is triggered when there is no input to the GPI and vice
versa; this is chosen next to the >@DC>E5AC legend.
The output port also has options for changing its behaviour, these start with the $DC@DC'5B@?>B5, which may be set
to ?<<?F (the GPI exactly matches the state of the function), %D<B5$> (the GPI pulses briefly when the function is
activated) and %D<B5$66 (the GPI pulses briefly when the function is deactivated). Of course, if the 145A(C1AC option
is set to >12<54 then this GPI output can be triggered from the fader.
The GPI output may also be triggered from a ‘softkey’ – these can either be channel or Centre Section Free Control
buttons (Refer to the Operator’s manual for more on A55BB97> and %A55 functions). Once you have a softkey
controlling a GPI output, you may choose the button to be either !1C389>7 or "?=5>C1AH next to the (?6C;5H
3C9?> legend.
