6. Move the Rover receiver along the selected
trajectory.
7. Once the Rover receiver reaches the end point of the
trajectory, pause for several minutes.
8. When finished, press the FN key to stop logging data
and turn off the Rover.
Real-time Kinematic Survey
Real-time kinematic (RTK) is a differential GPS process
where information, such as differential corrections, is
transmitted in real-time from a Base station to one or more
Rover stations.
Setting up an RTK Base Station
To configure an RTK Base station using PC-CDU, take
the following steps:
1. Set up the Base station receiver’s antenna as
described in “HiPer+ Receiver Setup” on page 3-1.
2. Connect an external modem to port C for a Legacy-E
or port D for the HiPer+.
3. Set up hardware as shown in Figure 3-6 on
page 3-13. This setup shows a Legacy-E Base station
setup.
