Chapter 2 WCDMA Call Mode
Testing User Equipment on WCDMA channels
WCDMA Options Version 6.20
49
As soon as the call has been put through, you are working on call level. The basic
WCDMA measurements will be performed automatically (see section “Basic test
results display” on page 49 for details).
Preamble Initial Power Display Below the call graph the Preamble Init. Pwr. display field shows the power level
at which UE transmits first to the Node B, i.e. the 4400. The 4400 will use this
power as a basis for power control. The calculation of the value is performed as
in a real network
PRACH UE Power This display field shows the power level of the UE on the PRACH (Physical
Random Access Channel).
Basic test results display The basic test results display gives a short overview of the mobile’s most impor-
tant characteristics.
How to read the basic test results display
NOTE
Test results will only be shown after a call has been established.
IMEI (SV)
Displays the International Mobile Equipment Identity of the
UE under test. This number uniquely identifies the UE and is
indicated on the back of the mobile. The UE sends the IMEI
automatically to the network when prompted for it.
IMSI
Displays the International Mobile Subscriber Identity of the
UE under test. This number uniquely identifies the UE’s
subscriber and can consist of up to 15 digits. It includes the
Mobile Country Code (MCC, e.g. 001), the Mobile Network
Code (MNC, e.g. 01) and up to 10 digits of user
identification information.
Dialed
Number
Following an UE-originated call, the 4400 displays the
number that was initially dialed on the mobile.
This display field will remain empty unless the call has been
originated by the UE.
