How to read the UE Measurement Report results display
Power Class
Displays the UE’s power class: 1, 2, 3 or 4.
Ciphering
Indicates the encryption method used.
UE Pwr
[dBm]
This field indicates the UE’s power class and the maxi-
mum power which can be transmitted in dBm. When
WCDMA bands II or III are selected, power classes 1 and
2 are omitted.
CPICH RSCP
[dBm]
This field indicates the Common Pilot Channel Received
Signal Code Power, which is the average power of the
received signal after despreading and combining the sig-
nal. It is important how the UE received the CPICH trans-
mitted by Node B. Based on this value the Preamble
Initial Power is calculated. This value indicates the accu-
racy of the UE’s CPICH RSCP measurement.
CPICH Ec/No
[dB]
With this measurement value the UE reports the quality
of the radio channel to Node B. The value displayed here
indicates the accuracy of the UE’s CPICH Ec/No measure-
ment. The unit for this value is dB.
For details about the WCDMA requirements refer to the
following table.

requirements

Pathloss
[dB]
Indicates the path loss between the UE and Node B in
[dB]. The path loss is the attenuation the signal under-
goes between transmitter and receiver. Path loss can
occur due to objects or atmospheric influences.
The valid value range for the path loss is 46 to 158 dBm.
Rx-Tx time
difference
[chip]
This field shows the time difference between the UE
uplink DPCCH/DPDCH frame transmission and the first
detected path (in time) of the downlink DPCH frame from
the measured radio link. The unit for this value is chip.
According to WCDMA specifications the Rx-Tx time dif-
ference should show an accuracy of ±1.5.
