4. Bearing Shell −
Removal
1) Attach the chain (94019A, Fig. 6) to the
gallery.
2) Attach the chain block (94017-006, H5)
to the chain (94019A).
3) Use the manual ratchets H1 and H2 to
move the connecting rod to fuel side.
4) Install the four eye bolts (94045-M8,
Fig. 8) into the bearing shell (13).
5) Attach the chain (94327, Fig. 6) to the
manual ratchet (H5) and the four eye
bolts in the bearing shell (13).
6) Disconnect manual ratchet (H2) from
connecting rod
7) Connect the manual ratchet (H2) to the
chain (94327).
8) Remove the two screws (14, Fig. 8)
that hold the bearing shell in position.
9) Carefully operate the manual ratchet
(H2) and the chain block (H5) to lift the
bearing shell (13) from the connecting
rod.
10) Remove the chain (94327) and the
manual ratchets (H2, H5).
11) Remove the four eye bolts
(94045−M8).
