Generating a Single PRACH Signal
Figure 16-19 Base Transceiver Station AICH Connection Diagram
1. Connect the ESG to the base transceiver station as shown in Figure 16-19.
2. Configure the base transceiver station to output a simulated AICH (TTL trigger) signal.
3. If you need a trigger signal from the ESG to determine when it transmits the PRACH, follow the
instructions in the section, “Changing the PRACH Output Trigger” on page 469.
4. Set up the ESG to expect the AICH trigger by following the instructions in the section, “Configuring the
PRACH Message for the AICH Trigger” on page 470.
5. Turn on the W-CDMA format.
6. Setup the ESG carrier signal.
7. Turn on the ESG RF output.
