7. Start the power control.
Press
Power Hold Off On to Off.
NOTE The default for Power Hold automatically sets the power hold mode to On. In this mode the
transmission power remains constant. In addition, the ALC function is turned off and the
ALC OFF annunciator appears on the status bar.
Figure 16-46 on page 516 shows how the power control feature is implemented.

8. Stop the power control.
Press
Power Hold Off On to On.
9. Return to initial power level.
Press
Reset to Initial Power.
