8. If you selected WITH PROGRAM AND SAMPLES or WITH PROGRAMS in step
7, move the cursor to the Replace same file in memory field, and specify what
will be done if memory already contains identically-named data.
YES........................The data will be loaded, overwriting the identically-named data in
memory.
NO..........................Identically-named data will not be loaded.
9. To execute the Load operation, press the [F5] key (DO IT).
The data will be loaded as you specified. When loading has been completed, the popup
window will close.
To load more than one multi
10. After step 4, move the cursor to the file list block, and select the folder that
contains the multi files you want to load.
11. Press the [F6] key (DO IT).
The Load Folder popup window will appear.
A Load field
Selects the type of file that will be loaded.
B Load with programs and samples field
Specifies how the programs and samples used by the multis will be loaded.
C Replace same file in memory field
Specify what will be done if internal memory already contains identically-named data.
D [F1] key (CANCEL)
Cancels the Load operation and closes the popup window.
E [F3] key (CLEAR)
Clears internal memory and loads the data.
F [F5] key (DO IT)
Loads the data.
12. Make sure that the Load field is set to MULTIS.
If a different setting is selected, turn the [JOG] dial to select MULTIS.
13. Move the cursor to the Load with programs and samples field, and specify
whether the programs and samples used by the multis will be loaded.
YES........................Programs and samples will also be loaded.
NO..........................Programs and samples will not be loaded.
Note: Be aware that if you select WITH PROGRAMS, the multi cannot be played correctly if the inter-
nal memory of the MPC4000 does not contain the necessary samples. If you selected MULTI ONLY,
the multi cannot be played correctly if internal memory does not contain the necessary programs and
samples.
Hint: By pressing the [F3] key (CLEAR) instead of the [F5] key, you can clear the memory before
loading the data.
