Making synchronization-related settings
Here you can make various settings for synchronization between an external device and
the MPC4000.
To access this page ....... [MISC.] key [F2] key (SYNC)
A Sync In/Sync Out block
Functions
[F1] key (SETUP)
Displays the Setup page.
Sync In/Sync Out block
Here you can make settings for the synchronization signals that the MPC4000 will trans-
mit and receive.
A Mode field
Selects one of the following synchronization signals for reception. Fields for additional
settings will appear according to the type of signal you select. The available types of syn-
chronization and their parameters are as follows.
MIDI clock
SYNC in field................... Selects the MIDI connector that will receive MIDI clock.
MIDI time code
Sync in field ..................... Selects the MIDI connector that will receive MIDI time code
(MTC).
Frame rate field ................ Selects the MTC frame rate (the number of frames per sec-
ond) from a range of 24/25/30D/30.
Sequence start time field .. Specifies the time code for the beginning of the
sequence/song, in units of hours/minutes/frames/subframes.
SMPTE
Frame rate field..................Selects the SMPTE frame range from a range of 24/25/30D/30.
Sequence start time field....Specifies the time code for the beginning of the sequence/song.
B Receive MMC (MIDI Machine Control) field
Switches MMC reception on/off. If this is ON, the transport of the MPC4000 can be con-
trolled from an MMC-compatible external device.
