config vlan add
Purpose Used to add additional ports to a previously configured VLAN.
Syntax config vlan <vlan_name 32> { [ add [ tagged | untagged | forbidden ] <portlist> |
advertisement [ enable | disable]}
Description This command allows you to add ports to the port list of a previously configured VLAN.You can specify the
additional ports as tagging, untagging, or forbidden.The default is to assign the ports as untagging.
Parameters <vlan_name 32> – The name of the VLAN you want to add or delete ports to.
add – Specifies which ports the user wishes to add.The user may also specify if the ports are:
tagged – Specifies the additional ports as tagged.
untagged – Specifies the additional ports as untagged.
forbidden – Specifies the additional ports as forbidden.
<portlist> – A range of ports to add to the VLAN.The port list is specified by listing the lowest switch number
and the beginning port number on that switch, separated by a colon.Then the highest switch number, and the
highest port number of the range (also separated by a colon) are specified.The beginning and end of the port
list range are separated by a dash. For example, 1:3 specifies switch number 1, port 3. 2:4 specifies switch
number 2, port 4. 1:3-2:4 specifies all of the ports between switch 1, port 3 and switch 2, port 4 – in
numerical order.
advertisement [enable | disable] – Enables or disables GVRP on the specified VLAN.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To add 4 through 8 of module 2 as tagged ports to the VLAN v1:

config vlan delete
Purpose Used to delete ports from a previously configured VLAN.
Syntax config vlan <vlan_name 32> delete <portlist>
Description This command allows you to delete ports from the port list of a previously configured VLAN.
Parameters <vlan_name 32> – The name of the VLAN to delete ports from.
<portlist> – A range of ports to delete from the VLAN.The port list is specified by listing the lowest switch
number and the beginning port number on that switch, separated by a colon.Then the highest switch number,
and the highest port number of the range (also separated by a colon) are specified.The beginning and end of
the port list range are separated by a dash. For example, 1:3 specifies switch number 1, port 3. 2:4 specifies
switch number 2, port 4. 1:3-2:4 specifies all of the ports between switch 1, port 3 and switch 2, port 4 – in
numerical order.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To delete ports 5-7 of module 2 of the VLAN v1:
