disable syslog
Purpose Used to disable the system log function on the Switch.
Syntax disable syslog
Description The disable syslog command disables the system log function on the Switch.After disabling, Syslog entries
will no longer be sent to a remote host.
Parameters None.
Restrictions Only administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To disable the syslog function on the Switch:
AT-9724TS:4# disable syslog
Command: disable syslog

show syslog
Purpose Used to display the syslog protocol status as enabled or disabled.
Syntax show syslog
Description The show syslog command displays the syslog status as enabled or disabled.
Parameters None.
Restrictions None.
Example usage:
To display the current status of the syslog function:
AT-9724TS:4# show syslog
Command: show syslog

create syslog host
Purpose Used to create a new syslog host.
Syntax show create syslog host [<index 1-4>] {severity [informational | warning | all] facility
[local0 | local1 | local2 | local3 | local4 | local5 | local6 | local7] | udp_port<int> | ipaddress
<ipaddr> | state [enable | disable]
Description The create syslog host command is used to create a new syslog host.
Parameters <index 1-4> – Specifies that the command will be applied to an index of hosts.There are four available indexes,
numbered 1 through 4.
severity – Severity level indicator.These are described in the following:
Bold font indicates that the corresponding severity level is currently supported on the Switch.
Numerical Code Severity
0 Emergency: system is unusable
1 Alert: action must be taken immediately
2 Critical: critical conditions
3 Error: error conditions
